About the Project
We are looking for a Mid .NET Developer to join us on a web application project in the EdTech industry - an educational platform being delivered for our client. The product is a modern, user-facing web application aimed at an end-user audience that expects a polished, accessible experience.

Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs in .NET 9 powering the educational platform.
Model the domain together with the team — translate product requirements into clean, maintainable code and a sensible data model in PostgreSQL.
Implement and evolve the data layer using Entity Framework 9 — entities, configurations, migrations, querying, and performance tuning.
Design API contracts
Take ownership of features end-to-end — from refinement, through implementation and testing, to deployment
Write clean, testable code and cover it with unit and integration tests; contribute to keeping the test suite healthy and meaningful.
Technical Requirements
Required
5+ years of commercial experience as a .NET Developer building production-grade backend systems.
Strong, hands-on experience with .NET 9 and Entity Framework Core — building REST APIs, middleware, dependency injection, configuration, background services.
Advanced knowledge of REST API design
Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL — schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization
English - sufficient for written and spoken communication within the team.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or similar) and basic awareness of containerization (Docker).
Day-to-day use of coding assistant tools like Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot or similar
Nice to have
Exposure to Azure — deploying and operating .NET services in the cloud.
Familiarity with the front-end stack (React + TypeScript) — enough to read FE code, debug integration issues and have productive conversations with FE engineers.
Previous work in EdTech or other user-facing products with strict reliability, accessibility and data-privacy requirements.
