Project Overview:

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to support API testing automation for a large-scale retail client. The client is a grocery retail chain operating over 10,000 stores in Poland. The role focuses on backend quality assurance and integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Min. 2 years of experience in API test automation using TypeScript + Playwright (or similar tools).

  • Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps, including understanding how pipelines work.

  • Strong SQL skills, including working with MS SQL beyond basic queries.

  • Experience with Bash or PowerShell scripting.

  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong self-organization.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic knowledge of Angular to better understand application data flows.

  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement REST API test automation using TypeScript and Playwright.

  • Integrate automated tests with Azure DevOps pipelines.

  • Develop supporting scripts (Bash / PowerShell) to ensure stable, scalable CI/CD processes without manual intervention.

  • Verify data integrity in MS SQL databases.

  • Collaborate closely with developers following a Shift Left Testing approach, focusing on quality from the early stages of development.
