About The Company

  • The Swarm is a start-up with offices in San Francisco and Kraków, building a new professional network management platform. 

  • The company is generating revenue and has received funding from top-tier VC firms and strategic partners. 

  • The team is currently 12 people. The CEO is a second-time founder, and the founding team has a strong start-up pedigree with 9-figure exits under their belt. 

About The Role

  • We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to help us expand our portfolio of products in a fast-paced start-up environment. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications across frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, databases, and external integrations.

  • We work in small project teams, but we will expect you to be independent and act as a product-minded engineer who doesn't just write code but helps shape the roadmap and understands the user impact of every feature.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript is a must. Proficiency in React framework would be ideal, but we’re open to candidates with experience in other modern JS frameworks. 

  • Strong back-end skills are mandatory. Proficiency in Go would be ideal, but we’re open to candidates with experience in other back-end programming languages who want to switch to Go. Our team has strong Go backgrounds, and we will provide mentorship and resources to help you bridge the gap.

  • A decent understanding of the technologies we use is mandatory: AWS, GitHub & GitHub Actions, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, Terraform, Docker.

  • We look for someone with an enthusiasm for AI coding tools, ideally with experience in using them in a professional and production environment. 

  • A good command of English is mandatory. 

Compensation and benefits

  • Terms, compensation, and contract type are to be negotiated individually.

  • A significant equity package (stock options in our US company) will be part of the compensation (on top of the salary).

  • Flexible hours and a hybrid remote work policy. However, occasional visits to the office are mandatory, so only candidates based in or around Kraków will be considered.

  • Private health insurance. 

  • Unlimited PTO, a culture that encourages “recharging”.

  • $100 monthly stipend for work-related purchases (equipment, gym, etc.).
