The team manages applications at the heart of clients’ core business strategies and supports a global user base. The nature of clients’ businesses demands high levels of agility, which in turn requires the team to be technically superior.
The project is part of clients’ global technology modernization roadmaps. It aims to equip key business lines with the technology needed to address modern market challenges and seize new opportunities. The development focuses on core business applications using a modern AWS toolset with Python on the backend. As the project is in its early stages, a significant portion of the work involves architectural design, technology selection, and proof-of-concept (POC) activities.
Position overview
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Python, React and Next.js on frontend who can design, architect, and deliver scalable systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable frontend architectures using React.js and Next.js, while also contributing to backend development leveraging modern Python-based technologies.
This position offers the exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that is part of a broader technology modernization roadmap, utilizing advanced AWS tools and modern development practices.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-quality backend systems using Python with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or similar.
Make architectural decisions regarding component structure, API design, infrastructure and data flow.
Develop, optimize, and maintain high-quality, scalable applications.
Continuously improve and optimize performance and user experience.
Collaborate closely with business domain leads, users, designers, Frontend and Backend engineers to ensure seamless integration of frontend components through APIs and smooth data flow.
Optimize applications for performance, observability, and reliability.
Perform testing before release.
Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure code stability and reliability.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Modern Web Application development in particular React, Next.js
Experience in Python-based backend development, especially with modern frameworks like FastAPI/Django.
Proven experience in architecting and scaling full-stack web applications.
Experience working with AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway Fargate, Kinesis Data Streams)
Extensive experience in writing and maintaining unit tests and integration tests.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks like AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with software automation platforms like GitHub Actions.
Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Nice to have
Prior experience in working in Financial Services/Insurance industry.
Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
