Senior Java Developer

Join us as a Senior Java Developer and help develop lifecycle management services for a financial application supporting trading, operations and middle-office teams. The system manages the full lifecycle of derivative trades, including booking, allocation, settlement, corporate actions, reporting and other essential functions.

This position offers a hybrid work model, with three days per week in our Kraków office

Responsibilities

• Provide technology solutions that address business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services

• Analyze business requirements for Lifecycle applications

• Design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages

• Offer technical expertise and recommendations for new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing applications

• Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, while also participating in application architecture and design discussions

• Ensure appropriate operational controls and procedures are in place to support the transition from test to production environments

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java application development preferred

• Proficiency in tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, GitLab and Maven

• Skills in Java, Web Services (REST), JSON and web development

• Expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot

• Background in messaging frameworks such as TIBCO, MQ and Kafka

• Competency in multi-threaded programming, memory management, profiling, virtualization and containerization

• Experience with RDBMS such as Oracle

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)
