Sr Kotlin/Spring Developer (contract)

Remote / hybrid (office in Warsaw)

Pay rate: 150 – 180 PLN/h

Duration: 6 months + extensions highly probable

End-client: international insurtech company

Tasks:

• Build and maintain the critical systems that track models, policies, and the complex business logic that powers pricing decision intelligence platform

• Contribute to design architectural modernisation of core business systems, driving the transition from monolith to modular architecture using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles

• Design and deliver complex business logic in Kotlin, Spring, and Hibernate

• Contribute to technical strategy and standards

• Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions

• Mentor and influence engineering culture

• Drive operational excellence

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering 

• Working experience in Kotlin back-end coding (web development)

• Experience in development and in contributing to software design

• Experience with Spring and Hibernate

• Experience in developing complex business-critical systems

• Experience in integration and/or refactoring

• Experience in cooperation with business / product teams

• Fluent in English

• Allowed to run a business in Poland

• Nice to have: DDD, experience in finance/fintech/insurance/Insurtech sectors, experience in technical ownership of modules or applications
