Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Java developer to join and help lead their team building a greenfield post-trade client booking system. This is a strategic, multi-year initiative to transform how trades are booked and processed across our client's global operations.

About the Project:

Our client is developing a cutting-edge system to handle post-trade booking processes - capturing and processing trades after execution. This greenfield platform will replace existing systems across multiple regions, starting with the United States, followed by APAC and EMEA.

Project Timeline:

• Test run scheduled in the coming months

• US production rollout planned for next year

• Subsequent implementation phases in APAC and EMEA regions

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development efforts on the greenfield post-trade client booking system

• Influence and contribute to architectural decisions and system design

• Develop high-performance, concurrent Java applications using Spring Boot

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across US, APAC, and EMEA regions

• Participate in testing phases and production readiness activities

• Support the European regional implementation

• Mentor team members and promote best practices

• Work on a large pipeline of features and enhancements

Required Skills:

• Java - Strong, hands-on experience with modern Java development

• Spring Boot - Proven expertise building enterprise applications

• Concurrency - Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming and concurrent systems

Nice to Have Skills:

Technical:

• Garbage Collection - Understanding of JVM memory management and GC tuning

• RabbitMQ / Kafka - Experience with message queuing and event streaming platforms

• Postgres - Knowledge of PostgreSQL database development

• Kubernetes - Experience with container orchestration and cloud-native deployments

Business Domain:

• Post-Trade Operations - Understanding of trade booking, settlement, or post-trade processing
