Senior Java Software Engineer

Join a leading global investment bank’s Digital Operations Technology Stream, where innovation meets impact. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you’ll be part of an agile team driving the strategic backbone between Dealstores and Operations/Regulatory systems. This role is central to a multiyear roadmap focused on cloud migration and modernizing the technology stack to deliver best-in-class solutions.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw or Krakow.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a strategic platform enabling seamless trade execution flows from Dealstores to Operations and Regulatory applications

• Translate product epics and features into robust, scalable functionality

• Collaborate closely with agile pod members in sprint cycles to deliver product requirements iteratively

• Work directly with the product team to understand and implement required features

• Onsite presence required: 3 days per week in the office

  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant certification

• Strong back-end development experience in Java (3+ years)

• Experience with Kafka or Stream Processing - Real Time Data Processing (Flink or Spark Streaming)

• Significant experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and concepts (ADO, GitHub, or Gitlab)

• Proficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Solid understanding of software design principles

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, at a minimum B2 level

  
  

Nice to have

• Well-versed in cloud architecture, with delivery experience in Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Python

• Experience with modern technologies such as data streaming, real-time and batch processing (Databricks), and Kubernetes

• Exposure to diverse, global agile teams and a passion for continuous learning and innovation
