Senior Python Engineer with AI Knowledge

Location: Remote/ based in European Union (Poland is client's preference)Contract: B2BStart date: ASAP, project at least till January 2026

Rate: up to 145 PLN/h (+ VAT)

Project Information (Backend Focus)

• Technology Stack: Python backend with PostgreSQL (or other relational databases). The environment includes testing with Pytest and deployment within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Integration: Planned integration with an external system for exchanging sales document data (receipts, invoices) in compliance with Spanish legal requirements (Verifactu). Partner for integration currently being selected.

• Project Phase: Discovery phase. The team will join a new project, not an existing one.

• Project Goal: Build a compliant data exchange solution with an external provider according to financial department and legal regulations.

• Non-Functional Requirements: Compliance with financial regulations and internal security and performance standards.

Requirements

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in Python.

• Implement integrations with external data exchange providers (e.g., Verifactu).

• Design and maintain database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL).

• Ensure system compliance with financial and legal requirements.

• Write automated tests using Pytest.

• Deploy, monitor, and optimize backend services in GCP.

• Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python development.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience with Pytest for backend testing.

• Knowledge of cloud solutions, preferably GCP.

• Understanding of integration with external systems (APIs, data exchange protocols).

• Ability to design and develop solutions compliant with financial and legal standards.

• Senior-level engineers preferred, with proven ability to collaborate within and across teams.
