Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with interactions between hardware and software at the system level.
- 2 years of experience in a professional setting with designing, developing, implementing and troubleshooting app issues across iOS, Android, Web or Embedded technology.
- Experience coding in one or more programming languages (Swift, Kotlin, Java, Dart, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience launching IoT and smart home platforms.
- Experience working with suppliers, clients or partners on debugging and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Experience developing developer tools (e.g., automation, testing, debugging).
- Experience developing within AOSP, its HAL, usage of NDK, as well as familiarity with CDD and CTS.
- Experience with matter and networking protocols (TCP/IP, thread, Zigbee, bluetooth low energy).
About the job
In this role, you will serve as a technical liaison, empowering partners to successfully integrate with Google Home platform and devices and an engineering subject matter expert (SME) for the partner stategy within Google Home. You will leverage an understanding of app development and environments to provide expert guidance on design, development, and integration, translating partner use cases into recommendations.You will create comprehensive resources, including samples, codelabs, and documentation, to streamline partner on-boarding and integration processes. Working closely with the Software Engineering team, you will facilitate communication of technical feedback, troubleshoot complex integration issues, and drive bug resolution. Additionally, you will design and build custom tools and solutions to address partner-specific needs. Your role requires proactive problem-solving, strong communication skills, App development experience and the ability to travel up to 30% to provide on-site technical support and foster strong partner relationships.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$224,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support by changing and managing system configurations, diagnosing and fixing issues, and providing post-installation and integration support.
- Demonstrate partner use cases and offer insights and recommendations on solution design, development, tooling and integration.
- Build samples, codelabs and documentation to support partners integrations with Google Home devices or platforms.
- Partner closely with the Software Engineering team to communicate technical feedback from partners, resolve bugs or integration problems. Resolve escalations of technical issues from Technical Account Managers.
- Speak at developer events and partner summits.
