Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in project management, business development, or engineering roles related to infrastructure.
Experience developing and presenting business cases to executive leadership for executive approvals.
Experience in the construction to operations handover process, including managing third-party commissioning.
Experience in project/program management with a focus on projects and distributed teams.
Experience with technology product life-cycle or localization.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or other relevant fields or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Experience navigating the regional utilities process for new electrical service and infrastructure growth.
Experience working in a global organization with various stakeholder groups.
Experience with Google's operational standards and project delivery methodologies.
Knowledge of grid infrastructure (transmission and distribution) and CPUC regulations.

In this role, you will provide expert Technical Design, Engineering and Construction oversight for sophisticated facilities like data centers and heavy labs, managing the complete technical project life-cycle from conception through completion. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000-$275,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who actively issues assumptions and proposes innovative solutions.
Provide technical oversight in sophisticated environments (data centers) and specialized technical facilities (ie. Central Utility Plants (CUPs), Clean rooms, heavy labs, chilled water systems, power/cooling distribution systems, and Electrical Substations).
Drive the initial project phase by creating comprehensive business cases that clearly articulate the scope, risks, and technical implications to secure executive alignment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technical Engineering, Finance, Controls, Security, and Technical and Workplace Services) to gather requirements, validate assumptions during the business case development phase and confirm scope and design BODs (Basis of Designs).
Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for the operations team to ensure long-term operational success.
