  • 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
  • Experience analyzing and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience analyzing the security of systems (e.g., security testing, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience implementing core Machine Learning (ML)/AI concepts.

Cloud Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security and Compliance team is the core team responsible for security and compliance of Cloud AI products and brings these non-functional requirements to the product teams through the fostering of a virtual team of engineers designing security and compliance into products.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Work with software engineers to understand system architecture, threat models, develop and implement tactical plans and long term plans for all Cloud AI Products.
  • Analyze security findings and translate them into recommendations and actionable plans. Provide quantitative analysis focus, requiring interpretation of technical information from structured and unstructured sources.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Cloud AI engineers and coordinate efforts with all of the internal stakeholders across the globe.
  • Take accountability for driving the Security and Compliance program to achieve measurable reduction of open security issues and drive a discipline of security into engineering teams.
