Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with Java, C++, and JavaScript coding languages.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience in people management.
- Experience with experimentation and analysis.

We are responsible for developing Google's shopping ads consumer facing experiences on google.com, images, shopping, lens and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) surfaces such as AI Mode and AI Overview.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical direction for Shopping Ads on AI Mode, AI Overview and future AI driven surfaces.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX Designers, other Ads partners (e.g., Auction, Retrieval, Modeling), and cross-product area (xPA) partners in Search and Commerce to identify, develop, and launch new experiences on these surfaces.
- Contribute individually through code reviews, development, experiment design, and analysis.
- Mentor, grow, and support your team to help them deliver significant business impact.
