Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
- Experience with the product development life-cycle, including designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests, and iterating.
- Experience with iOS or Android development.

The Chrome Desktop Search team's mission s to help users get, make sense of, and act on the information they need with minimal effort. We are responsible for the integration of Search in Chrome. This means both existing surfaces and exploration of new frontiers. Our team is responsible for user-facing experiences and robust infrastructure that powers omnibox.

- Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and user experience teams across Chrome and Google to design, build, and launch innovative search, navigation, and AI features.
- Measure the effects of changes via live experimentation and analysis, directly influencing product strategy.
- Contribute high-quality, performant code to the open-source Chromium codebase and internal Google services, utilizing languages and frameworks including C++, TypeScript, Java, Python, etc.
