The Role

Tudum is Netflix’ premier fan destination for members. Our mission is to bring members joy by deepening their connections to their favorite titles and helping them discover their next obsessions. 

Tudum sits at the intersection of on- and off-service discovery. This uniquely positions Tudum to be a matchmaker and mentor, where we can set the scene, make the right connections, and give fans the spaces for their fan love to flourish. They will spend more time with us, talk to others and ultimately watch. Our goal is to ignite the power of Netflix fans – our biggest ambassadors and the engines of buzz about our titles. 

The Tudum experience includes both an internal tool for the Netflix Editorial team, as well as a consumer experience on the web. This role will work cross-functionally to define experiences across both platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong, informed design point-of-view for the Tudum experience and unify the product goals in the short term, as well as a vision of the longer term.

  • Own the end-to-end design process for the Tudum and tooling experience—from blue sky design exploration to UX specs and quality UI designs, while working closely with cross-functional partners to balance polish and speed towards an effective execution.

  • This is a highly collaborative role between different Netflix businesses (Editorial and Product), and the designer will need to develop and maintain positive relationships and collaborations with partners and stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate with other Tudum and Member experience designers, along with cross-functional partners to explore, test, and evolve Tudum at Netflix.

  • Communicate design strategy and experience decisions with rationale to partners, farming for feedback that considers the holistic Premium program.

Qualifications 

  • Known for creative and technical excellence & customer acumen, including excellence in UI design and UX 

  • Deep understanding of user expectations, behavior, and trends around publishing brands and design 

  • Multiple successful product/feature launches that drove meaningful impact to a business

  • Able to independently organize, break down, and structure complex problems

  • Consistently sought out by your partners for design guidance and problem-solving

  • Consistently produces and/or facilitates deliverables that demonstrate creative excellence 

  • Ability to quickly produce a great range of UX/UI concepts, as well as go deep to identify edge cases

  • Thrives in ambiguity and is flexible with varying working styles of partners

  • Experience with A/B testing and using data to inform design decisions

  • Experience working in design systems and tooling a plus

  • Figma experience is a must 

Pay Transparency

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
