Description

Design and implement scalable reporting and data platform solutions using Databricks and a Medallion-architecture data lake. You will build high-performance reporting data models, handle data ingestion and orchestration, and support deployment across multi-tier environments with quality gates. You will document architectural decisions, processes, and project results while improving efficiency and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reporting solutions
• Design and develop a scalable data platform solution using Databricks
• Integrate data into a company-wide Data Lake using Medallion architecture
• Develop high-performance reporting data models based on company-wide IT requirements
• Deploy solutions across multi-tier environments with quality gates
• Implement optimization measures to improve efficiency and quality
• Document architectural decisions, processes, and project outcomes

Requirements

• Several years of experience with Databricks for data engineering solutions, including data modeling, ETL, and orchestration of data loading processes
• In-depth understanding of layered data models (e.g., Medallion Architecture)
• Experience developing authorization and access-control concepts
• Knowledge of Continuous Ingestion / Continuous Development
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms
• Solution-oriented and structured way of working
• Very good communication and moderation skills
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Understanding of IT Service Management processes (ITIL)
• Experience working in agile projects, particularly Scrum
