Description

You will manage and improve the group’s application infrastructure and operations across private cloud and cloud projects on AWS or Azure. The role covers scalable applications on Kubernetes as well as workloads running on virtual machines, from CI/CD to monitoring and security. You will not only operate clusters—you will help build the company’s technical platform end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and develop infrastructure in AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC) and Kubernetes clusters
• Manage environments using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, automating builds, tests, and deployments
• Operate Linux servers and Docker, including hybrid connectivity between on-prem and cloud
• Provide observability (metrics, logs, alerting), handle incidents, and manage backup and restore
• Manage access and secrets, perform hardening, support network security, and align with regulatory requirements (DORA, GDPR)
• Collaborate with internal developers and external vendors; help select technologies and maintain documentation/standards
• Optimize cloud costs and plan capacity

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering
• Production experience with Kubernetes (deployments, Helm, networking, ingress, autoscaling, troubleshooting)
• Practical AWS experience (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS) and cloud architecture design
• Infrastructure as code knowledge—ideally Terraform
• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitLab CI) and Git
• Strong Linux, Docker, and networking knowledge (DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewall)
• Scripting in multiple languages
• Monitoring/logging experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch)
• Independence, broad technical scope, and willingness to take responsibility
• Czech communication level; English for technical documentation
