Description

You will perform system studies and specify 5G radio resource management features, develop network-level software simulations, and support verification and performance analysis of 5G features. You will also lead solution package (SP) studies and participate in system trouble reporting, including customer troubleshooting and analysis. The role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams and contributions to 5G standards and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systems studies in Radio Resource Management (scheduling, link adaptation, time-critical communication, control channel radio resource management)

• Specify system features/functions, test cases, algorithms, use cases, and parameter settings; address interactions with legacy features

• Develop network-level software simulations for performance analysis of 5G features and algorithms

• Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools, and processes

• Lead solution package (SP) studies and participate in system trouble report teams

• Support 5G system verification and analyze test results

• Support deployment of new 5G products/features in customer networks and perform troubleshooting/analysis based on customer configurations

• Contribute to 5G standards progress with 6G readiness; support IPR through invention disclosures and patents

• Collaborate globally with cross-functional development and customer engagement teams

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent knowledge (communications theory and DSP background valuable)

• Relevant work experience in 5G NR

• Strong knowledge of 5G NR, especially Physical Layer and Radio Resource Management

• Software development skills to use and develop simulators (Java, C, C++; MATLAB knowledge is an asset)

• Analytical mindset with creativity and innovation

• Self-driven, collaborative, and willing to continuously learn

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
