Description

Design and build modern data platforms using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse (Medallion) architecture. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT data processing pipelines, integrate Azure services and AI/ML solutions, and support migration/modernization of data environments to the cloud. Define standards and best practices for data governance, data security, performance, and cloud cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data platforms with Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI

• Create and evolve Lakehouse architecture for analytics and business needs

• Define data governance, data security, performance, and cost optimization standards and best practices

• Integrate data platforms with Azure services, AI/ML solutions, and reporting/analytics tools

• Build ETL/ELT processing and transformation pipelines

• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives for data environments

• Collaborate with architects, Data Engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders on strategic data initiatives

• Contribute to the direction of platform development and key architectural decisions

• Ensure scalability, quality, and reliability of enterprise data solutions

Requirements

• Practical experience designing and implementing Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric-based data platforms

• Very good SQL knowledge

• Experience with PySpark and Python

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT and data modeling

• Experience with Lakehouse and Medallion architectures

• Experience integrating data platforms using APIs, Azure services, analytics, and reporting tools

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Git, Terraform, and Azure DevOps

• Understanding of data governance, data security, performance optimization, and cloud cost optimization

• Ability to design scalable enterprise data platforms and make architectural decisions

• Strong communication skills and experience working with both technical and business stakeholders
