Description

Join the Shopping AI & Search squad to build AI Assistant experiences on iOS and Android. You will develop a high-scale React Native application for conversational search, personalized recommendations, and in-app assistant features, integrating LLM-powered capabilities on-device with attention to latency, cost, non-determinism, and graceful degradation.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a high-scale React Native app for AI-powered shopping across brands.

• Integrate LLM-powered features on the device, designing for latency, cost, non-determinism, and graceful degradation.

• Own features end to end from RFC to rollout using feature flags, analytics, and A/B tests.

• Work with GraphQL (Apollo Federation) APIs; own app reliability and performance.

• Shape mobile architecture across the tribe and lead medium-to-large technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong React and TypeScript experience; ideally React Native (React web engineers welcome).

• Daily hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot) and interest in production GenAI.

• Track record shipping consumer apps at scale, with solid knowledge of state management, navigation, and performance.

• Own code quality: unit, integration, and E2E testing, code review, and pre-release checks.

• Strong collaboration across backend, AI, product, and design teams.
