Description

You will work on an AI-driven underwriting platform (“Underwriter OS”), building a Next.js/React frontend and a FastAPI/Python backend. The role includes orchestrating AI agents (LangGraph/LangChain), deploying on Microsoft Azure, extracting data from broker documents, and integrating with core insurance/business systems (e.g., policy administration, rating engines, DMS/CRM, broker portal, Outlook). This is a pioneer position helping shape a new operating model by translating underwriting guidelines into instructions for AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Build the Underwriter OS frontend (Next.js/React) and backend (FastAPI/Python)

• Integrate AI agents into the application and extend agent orchestration (LangChain/LangGraph)

• Integrate with policy administration systems, rating engines, DMS, CRM, broker portal, and Outlook

• Deploy solutions on Azure using containers and CI/CD

• Build and orchestrate AI agents to convert underwriting guidelines into agent instructions

• Build data extraction processes from broker documents

Requirements

• 2+ years of Data Science/AI experience, including 1+ year of production deployments

• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL

• Solid knowledge of React/Next.js and Python/FastAPI

• Solid knowledge of Azure Blob Storage, Document Intelligence, and Azure AI Foundry

• Solid knowledge of LangGraph (or similar orchestration tools), plus prompt engineering and context engineering

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL

• Hands-on MLOps experience (Azure ML, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)

• Experience with Azure cloud platform

• Understanding of AI governance requirements and AI Act

• Higher education in a technical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering/related)
