Description

Operate security monitoring solutions for IT infrastructure, applications, and services. Triage status/security notifications and scheduled maintenance windows, and evaluate, manage, and forward IT security incidents. Continuously improve monitoring systems and processes while collaborating with operations teams and supporting users of the monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

• Operate (security) monitoring solutions for IT infrastructure, applications, and services
• Review, assess, and process status/security notifications and announced maintenance windows
• Evaluate, handle, and forward IT security incidents
• Further develop monitoring systems and their processes
• Coordinate with system administration and application operations on monitored metrics and reporting paths
• Create and maintain technical documentation and user manuals
• Produce notification statistics (KPIs) and dashboards
• Support end users of monitoring solutions

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s/technical college degree in IT, or completed IT vocational training with relevant experience, or several years of relevant IT professional experience as a career changer
• Good knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server, IT networks, and IT security
• Experience with ITIL processes
• Consent and participation in a security clearance under the State Security Review Act
• Willingness for occasional weekend work and on-call duty
• Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)
