Description

Design and implement control concepts for special machines and test stands. Program PLC, robot, and visualization systems, integrate the automation stack, and support commissioning with customers in Germany and abroad. Create software-related technical documentation and train machine operators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and design control concepts
• Advise internal teams on selecting automation control components
• Implement PLC/control systems for special machines and test stands with growing ownership after onboarding
• Program control and automation systems (PLC, robots, visualization)
• Interface control systems with robots and supervisory/line systems
• Commission systems at customer sites in Germany and abroad
• Produce the software-related parts of technical documentation
• Train and instruct machine operators

Requirements

• Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or Siemens TIA Portal
• Visualization experience (e.g., WinCC, TwinCAT HMI, VisiWin) desired
• Robot programming experience (e.g., KUKA or ABB) desired
• Basic knowledge of functional safety (e.g., safety control systems and safety validation) advantageous
• Version control knowledge (SVN, Git, versiondog) advantageous
• Higher-level programming knowledge ideal (C#, .NET, Python)
• Ticketing system knowledge beneficial (Jira)
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Independent, team-oriented working style
• German and English proficiency in speaking and writing
