Description

Build and improve asynchronous real-time Python data services with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability. Integrate external data sources via REST and WebSocket APIs, handle higher volumes of events, and ensure data reliably reaches quant and application teams. Strengthen observability, testing, and CI/CD, and support the systems through on-call and L1/L2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve asynchronous real-time services in Python (performance, reliability, scalability)

• Connect external data sources (REST/WebSocket APIs) and process significantly higher data volumes

• Design how to deliver data reliably to quant and application teams so services don’t get stuck

• Collaborate closely with traders, data scientists, and developers to translate needs into technical solutions

• Improve observability, testing, and CI/CD

• Participate in on-call and L1/L2 support for the systems you build

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python experience and strongly typed code (mypy)

• Practical experience with Kafka or another message broker

• Solid knowledge of asynchronous programming, ideally asyncio

• Experience with architecture design and performance optimization for large data volumes

• Fluent Czech
