Description

Full-time academic hepatologist to join a growing academic transplant hepatology and gastroenterology program. You will provide outpatient hepatology care, perform general endoscopy, and attend on the inpatient gastroenterology/hepatology consult service, with plans to expand into a dedicated hepatology inpatient consult service as the section grows. The position also includes active teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities

• Practice in an outpatient hepatology clinic
• Provide general endoscopy services
• Attend on inpatient gastroenterology/hepatology consult service (approximately 1:8)
• Contribute to development of a separate hepatology inpatient consult service (as the program grows)
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows

Requirements

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
• Eligible for state medical license
• Completed accredited internal medicine residency
• Completed gastroenterology fellowship and transplant hepatology fellowship
• Board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology (all qualifications met by time of appointment)
