Description

Academic faculty position for a board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to support specialized care for gynecologic malignancies, with brachytherapy at the core of the practice. You will work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, participate in clinical research and investigator-initiated trials, and teach and mentor residents and medical students. The role emphasizes advanced image-guided planning and treatment techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent clinical radiation oncology care for gynecologic cancer patients

• Collaborate with University of Michigan Gynecologic Oncology and multidisciplinary teams

• Participate in institutional tumor boards and departmental meetings

• Contribute to clinical research, including investigator-initiated clinical trials

• Pursue publications, clinical services research, and collaborative research projects

• Teach and mentor radiation oncology residents and medical students

Requirements

• Medical degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited Radiation Oncology residency

• Board certification or board eligibility through the American Board of Radiology

• Expertise in a variety of radiation treatment methods

• Current Michigan medical licensure or ability to obtain appropriate licensure in Michigan

• Desirable: record of scientific publications, research, and teaching

• Strongly desired: multimodality treatment planning experience and image-guided brachytherapy; interest in IGRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, and SBRT
