Description

You will support security monitoring and incident analysis across a banking environment, evaluating alerts and logs from applications, endpoints, identities, and network infrastructure. You’ll help distinguish normal events from security incidents, perform initial technical investigations, and support incident handling. You will also contribute to application security and SSDLC activities, analyzing scan results and partnering with developers to remediate risks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events across the bank’s environment

• Evaluate alerts and logs from applications, endpoints, identities, and network infrastructure

• Triage incidents vs. normal activity and ensure correct escalation

• Conduct initial technical investigation of security incidents

• Assess vulnerabilities, prioritize them, and verify remediation effectiveness

• Support application security testing and SSDLC-related activities

• Analyze vulnerability scan results and work with developers to fix identified risks

• Collaborate with Security Architects, IT Operations, developers, and external security partners

Requirements

• Experience in cybersecurity, Security Operations, security monitoring, or a similar technical role

• Ability to work with logs, alerts, and technical data to find correlations

• Familiarity with security monitoring and SIEM platform principles

• Understanding of operating systems, networks, authentication, and access management fundamentals

• Knowledge of application security, secure coding, and SDLC/SSDLC

• Ability to review source code in at least one common programming language or experience with automated security analysis tools
