Summary: This role is focused on leading the SAP extensibility strategy and managing custom development using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and ABAP, which is essential for aligning technology solutions with business needs.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Roadmap Development:

  • Build and maintain extensibility strategy and roadmap.

  • Drive a custom development strategy using ABAP and BTP aligned to business and technology requirements.


  • SAP BTP Enablement:

  • Establish a robust SAP BTP foundation for side-by-side extensibility.

  • Leverage no-code and low-code services to accelerate development.Develop and manage ABAP cloud, Java, and JSON-based applications.Utilize other relevant services of SAP BTP to enhance extensibility.


  • Custom Code Management:

  • Revise and update custom code implementation guidelines to adapt to SAP technologies.

  • Ensure best practices for maintainable and scalable custom code.

  • Conduct custom code quality assurance through best practices and standards.


  • Documentation and AI Integration:

  • Revise key documentation for AI-driven code quality checks, including Development Approach, Development Standard, and Java Programming Standards.

  • Ensure documentation is clear and aligned with modern practices.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in SAP extensibility and SAP BTP as Solution Architect or Development Lead.

  • Strong knowledge of no-code/low-code platforms, ABAP cloud, Java, and JSON-based application development.

  • Familiarity with SAP custom code management and guidelines.

  • Experience creating technical documentation for AI-supported tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.


Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services and tools.

  • Experience with classic extensibility (ABAP).

  • Knowledge of AI-driven code quality tools and methodologies.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
