Responsibilities

Translate stakeholder requirements into target architecture and delivery guidance.
Design data platforms and pipelines (ingestion, transformation, serving) with scalability, performance, security, and cost in mind.
Define data models/schemas and standards (incl. evolution and lifecycle).
Select/integrate the right technologies (lake/warehouse, databases, processing frameworks).
Ensure governance: data quality, privacy/security, compliance, monitoring.
Provide technical leadership: architecture/design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, escalation support.
Maintain clear documentation support planning and estimation.

Qualifications

Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification.
Proven enterprise experience as a Data Architect / Data Engineering Architect.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, pipelines, distributed processing, fault tolerance.
Proficiency in Python, SQL.
Cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure (both preferred).
Strong stakeholder communication and ability to drive technical decisions.
Very good communication in English and Polish.
Open to working in a hybrid mode, with 1 day per month at our office in Katowice.

Nice to have:

Terraform/CI/CD, Spark/Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow/ADF, Kafka/Kinesis/Glue, Docker/K8s, MLOps exposure.
