We are seeking an energetic Financial Analyst MBA intern to join our Hardware Engineering FP&A team at NVIDIA. In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering and operations teams to build cost models, analyze technology shifts, and provide visibility into program economics that influence strategic decisions. The role requires an individual who will thrive in an ambiguous environment and make a big impact. You should have a passion for providing data-based decision making, and are constantly looking for areas of improvement and implementing automation to reduce manual workload to focus on delivering insights to the business.
Support financial analysis and reporting for engineering programs, including cost modeling and forecasting.
Assist in building and maintaining models to provide visibility into program costs and investment drivers.
Analyze spending trends and find opportunities for optimization across OPEX and CAPEX categories.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cost insights into broader financial planning processes.
Prepare management reporting packages and deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership.
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to build, question, and improve complex financial models and cost projections from scratch.
Applied knowledge of cost modeling principles, specifically regarding Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) tracking, and Opex forecasting.
Demonstrated understanding of data center infrastructure, server architecture, and hardware components to identify material cost drivers.
Ability to synthesize large datasets using tools like SQL, Tableau, or Power BI to integrate cost insights into executive-level reporting.
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to partner with Engineering and Operations teams to align technical roadmaps with financial board-level processes.
Experience or coursework in cost modeling, BOM analysis, or technology hardware economics.
Leadership experience in academic or extracurricular activities.
Prior finance experience in the technology or hardware sector.
Demonstrated ability to automate processes or improve efficiency.

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 27 USD - 82 USD.You will also be eligible for Intern benefits.
