SAP Consultant (Coupa)

We are seeking a SAP Consultant with expertise in Coupa to lead complex projects and maintain system stability.

You will guide the full lifecycle of Coupa implementations and ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and other tools. Your role involves managing technical operations and driving improvements to support business needs. This position includes business travel for a few days every two weeks to Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Coupa project implementations including instance consolidation and integration

• Take technical ownership of the Coupa landscape ensuring stability and alignment with business requirements

• Provide expert 2nd and 3rd level support resolving complex platform issues

• Manage Coupa software updates, upgrades, and integrations collaborating with stakeholders and partners

• Evaluate the Coupa solution continuously to identify and execute technical enhancements

• Coordinate testing and hypercare phases to ensure successful project delivery

• Lead technical discussions with business users, project managers, and architects

• Drive technical rollout of system improvements and updates

• Ensure compliance with incident management processes during issue resolution

• Maintain documentation of technical configurations and integrations

• Support integration best practices between Coupa and SAP modules

• Oversee performance tuning and system optimization activities

• Manage vendor relationships related to Coupa software and integrations

• Track project progress and report to senior management

• Mentor junior team members on Coupa and SAP integration techniques

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working hands-on with Coupa including implementation and support of core modules

• Strong functional and technical knowledge of Coupa integrations with SAP S/4HANA, especially SAP FI and MM modules

• Proven expertise in Coupa integration methods such as cXML, API, and flat file

• Background in IT consultancy or application management with enterprise solution ownership

• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead technical discussions

• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues at senior support levels

• Good command of English at professional working proficiency

• Experience managing software updates and coordinating with multiple stakeholders

• Ability to evaluate and improve technical systems based on business needs

  
  

Nice to have

• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments

• Familiarity with finance and procurement tools such as SAP Concur, VIM, or SAP Fieldglass

• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python or C# for integration tasks
