Technical Leader – Application Migration Project

Senior • Hybrid

Warsaw, Poland

Lead application migration within a data center migration program for payment card acquiring and issuing systems. Work closely with PM, architects, DevOps, infra/network teams, and occasionally external suppliers. Initial phase on-site, with occasional remote work; hybrid model possible after onboarding.

Job responsibilities:

• Analyze and document the current (“as-is”) state

.• Define migration goals, strategy, and transformation scope (infra/app upgrades, containerization, HA, etc.).

• Design target (“to-be”) deployment architecture and migration plan.

• Refactor/test application code if needed (e.g., middleware, dependency upgrades).

• Build new DEV/QA/UAT/PROD/DR environments in target data centers.

• Define firewall, load balancing, middleware, and DB requirements.

• Document solution and migration approach (Confluence)

• Coordinate testing (functional, PEN, certifications) and production migration.

• Support decommissioning of legacy environments and manage migration risks.

• Work closely with PMs to define WBS, plan next actions, and remove blockers.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven experience in application or data center migration projects.

• Strong communication in English and Polish.

• Ability to document architecture and collaborate with SMEs and technical teams.

• Broad technical knowledge: middleware, CI/CD, containerization (Kubernetes), AWS/Azure.

• Understanding of performance, availability, monitoring, and networking (TLS, LB).

• Knowledge of payment acquiring/issuing domain is an advantage.

• Independent, goal-oriented, quality-focused, and collaborative.

• Willingness to work on-site, 5 days a week in the Warsaw office, with occasional remote work – a mandatory requirement
