Utilities – Electric Grid Software Engineer (Transmission & Distribution)

We are looking for an experienced engineer to support development and implementation of mission-critical grid software within Energy Management Systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Java applications for utility grid software

  • Build middleware-tier business logic and integration components

  • Develop interface layers and web services for system-to-system connectivity

  • Work across SCADA/DMS/EMS/OMS application environments

  • Develop WSDLs and XSDs for integration frameworks

  • Support implementation of Energy Management System (EMS) components

  • Contribute to critical utility system integrations and performance improvements


Required Experience & Skills

Apache Product Stack

  • Experience with:Geronimo, Tomcat, Camel, ServiceMix, Axis

ESB / Integration Technologies

  • Experience integrating with:Fuse ESB, Tibco, WebSphere(ESB/BUS technologies)

Database Skills

  • Strong experience with:Oracle & SQL

Java & Middleware

  • Experience developing:

    • Pure Java-based applications

    • Java middleware-tier business logic

Operating Systems

  • Minimum 5 years developing software for Windows and/or Linux

Programming / Scripting

  • Minimum 7 years developing software using:C, C++, KSH, Java

Integration Standards

  • Experience developing:WSDLs and XSDs

Utility Grid Applications

  • Must have worked on:SCADA, DMS, EMS, OMS
