We’re looking for an engineer who can automate database operations, build internal tools, and improve the developer experience across multiple data platforms.

Responsibilities

Build Python-based automation and tooling for database provisioning and deployments.
Develop monitoring and management capabilities for various database technologies.
Create self-service solutions that simplify work for application teams.
Automate operational tasks such as failovers and capacity management.
Participate in an on-call rotation and help keep the platform reliable.

Requirements

Strong Python skills.
Experience administering SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of at least two additional technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redis, ClickHouse).
5+ years working with databases in production.
Platform and automation mindset; customer-oriented approach.
Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn.

Nice to Have

Experience with internal platform or developer tooling.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, or observability tools.
Exposure to data pipelines or high-pressure environments.
