Are you passionate about transforming data into meaningful insights and building high-performance cloud solutions? We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced data architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll work in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient data-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Lead the design and development of cloud-based data pipelines, ensuring efficient ingestion and transformation of data from diverse sources such as APIs, databases, or real-time streams.
Use your deep understanding of GCP infrastructure and services to architect robust, maintainable data solutions.
Apply strong SQL and database design expertise – with BigQuery as a core technology – alongside experience in NoSQL environments.
Develop and optimize code in Python (and other scripting languages as needed) for automation and data manipulation.
Apply data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques to ensure speed and scalability.
Build, orchestrate, and monitor workflows using Apache Airflow or similar scheduling tools.
Implement ETL/ELT processes and use data transformation frameworks such as DBT or Dataform to deliver clean, analytics-ready datasets.
Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders, clearly communicating complex technical topics in a concise and approachable way.
Participate in client discussions to identify new opportunities for process improvement and data optimization.
Work effectively in a multinational, distributed setup, following agile principles and modern development practices.
Demonstrate familiarity with everyday engineering tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD processes.
Maintain a growth mindset and openness to exploring new data technologies and methodologies.

Desired Background

4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-focused projects.
Proven success in designing and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure in GCP.
Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

Professional certifications in GCP or big data technologies.
Practical experience with BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with ETL tools such as Talend or Alteryx.
Exposure to Apache Spark, Databricks, and Azure ecosystems.
