Responsibilities:

Track Azure consumption and costs, highlighting optimization opportunities such as rightsizing, commitment plans, and efficient cloud usage.
Improve and oversee cost efficiency for Azure services, including advanced AI workloads like Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and Azure Machine Learning.
Create and maintain cloud cost forecasts, budgets, dashboards, and reports for both technical and financial audiences.
Establish and maintain cost governance practices, including tagging standards, spend controls, and reserved instance management.
Ensure high-quality, accurate billing and usage data to support audits and internal reporting.
Translate business needs into analytical tasks, performing data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Finance teams to align cloud consumption with business and financial objectives.

Skills:

Experience as a Data or FinOps Analyst in a cloud environment (preferably Azure).
Strong proficiency with Azure Cost Management and Billing, Power BI, and other FinOps-related tools.
Demonstrated ability to identify cost optimizations and improve spending efficiency across Azure services, including AI/ML workloads.
Experience managing cloud cost forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Understanding of cloud financial governance: tagging, reserved instances, chargeback/showback models.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to data accuracy and compliance.
