Engineering Team Leader (Data Platform)

We are looking for a professional to join our team as an Engineering Team Leader - Data Platform. This role combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills. The primary responsibility of the Data Platform team is to maintain and further develop an on-premise data warehouse and to lead its target migration to a cloud environment (Snowflake).

The team consists of Data Engineers and BI Engineers and works within the Scrum framework. The Team Leader we are seeking will support the Technology and Product departments in the process of data acquisition and processing.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a small Data Platform team,

• Monitoring day-to-day work and supporting the resolution of technical issues,

• Ensuring delivery of development tasks in line with established technological standards,

• Identifying and mitigating obstacles in the delivery process that impact the quality of solutions,

• Collaborating with other teams to design optimal solution architectures,

• Defining and monitoring key quality and performance indicators.

  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer / DWH Developer,

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role,

• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, including T-SQL, writing complex stored procedures, and performance optimization,

• Experience in building ETL processes (SSIS, SSRS, ADF),

• Knowledge of cloud solutions (Snowflake, Azure, GCP),

• Experience in designing data architectures both on-premise and in the cloud,

• Experience in projects involving data migration from on-premise to cloud (databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB),

• Proficiency in working with Git and building CI/CD pipelines,

• Experience in building scalable, real-time Data Lake solutions,

• Experience delivering projects end-to-end, from architecture to deployment,

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams,

• Ability to work with remote teams.

• Experience with streaming data processing (Kafka),

• Knowledge of Data Mesh concepts.
