Security Engineer- Vulnerability Scanning

Location: Cracow/ Warsaw (hybrid model: 6 day per month from the office)

We are looking for an experienced professional to take on a key role focused on infrastructure vulnerability scanning within a large-scale, complex environment. If you have expert-level knowledge in vulnerability assessment and enjoy working in a global setting, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and on-demand infrastructure vulnerability scans using both network-based and agent-based approaches.
  • Triage, analyze, and address issues resulting from vulnerability scans and assessments.
  • Communicate analysis, validate scan results, and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
  • Configure, maintain, and operate industry-standard vulnerability management tools, while also identifying and implementing innovative new solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with global internal teams and third-party service providers.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of vulnerability assessment platforms such as Tenable SecurityCenter or Qualys.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • At least one major cloud platform and cloud vulnerability assessment methods (Ali Cloud, AWS, GCP, Azure),
    • End-to-end vulnerability assessment processes,
    • Network-based and agent-based scanning in large environments,
    • Industry frameworks and best practices (CIS Critical Security Controls, Threat Modelling, OWASP, NIST 800 series),
    • Operating systems, network protocols, and basic application development concepts.
    • Exposure to scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, PowerShell).
