Project
As an IT Security Specialist you will join our client's banking-sector team and be a part of the security compliance governance area, focusing primarily on ensuring proper governance, documentation and adherence to internal security standards. You will support internal stakeholders, assess change requests from a security compliance perspective, and help raise overall awareness of security requirements across the organization.
Responsibilities you'll have
Assessing and approving a selected scope of change requests related to infrastructure, platforms and applications from a security compliance perspective (e.g. firewall openings, proxy and email whitelisting, AD group membership)
Ensuring clear and professional communication with stakeholders and providing a satisfactory end-to-end experience
Representing the team and helping stakeholders better understand security requirements, contributing to stronger IT security awareness
Interpreting internal information security standards and guidelines and translating them into actionable technical security requirements used in production environments
Analysing existing documentation, including procedures and architectural materials
Verifying issues and risks within the context of internal risk processes and information security guidelines
Cooperating with and gathering input from internal stakeholders (e.g. Security Office, Security Architecture, Application Owners/Managers) to support decision-making
Expected competences and knowledge
MIn. 3 years of experience in similar role
Basic understanding of IP networks, protocols, firewalls and proxies
Strong command of English (written and spoken) to ensure effective communication with multiple internal stakeholders
Ability to read, understand and analyse documentation
Experience in operational work environments, including exposure to Change Management processes and ticketing systems
Ability to gather information from various sources
