Senior Project Manager/Program Manager

Warsaw, Poland

Experience with projects involving the development and maintenance of large scale, long term IT systems, delivered within clearly defined procedures and standards. Polish language proficiency at B2 level or higher. Willingness to visit the client’s office in Warsaw when required.



Responsibilities

  • Review and understand the customer’s overall program and project strategy

  • Mobilize and coordinate internal and external resources

  • Prepare and execute program and project kick offs

  • Develop and implement program and project management plans

  • Create, maintain, and control project plans across all project phases

  • Cooperate closely with the customer’s Project Manager and Product Owner

  • Support the customer Product Owner in creating and managing the product backlog

  • Supervise, negotiate, and manage project requirements

  • Provide project escalation management when needed

  • Manage internal and external project communication

  • Measure, monitor, and evaluate project progress against the project plan

  • Identify deviations and implement corrective actions

  • Perform project risk management activities

  • Attend and contribute to regular customer status meetings

  • Facilitate project team meetings

  • Support project execution, monitoring, and control by performing administrative tasks including time and expense reporting, approvals, invoice preparation, and project margin control

  • Close projects administratively and commercially


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role within the IT area such as Senior Project Manager, Program Manager, Delivery Manager, Line Manager, or Product Manager

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing Polish public sector IT projects with large budgets and key accounts

  • Technical IT background preferred, including experience in managing software development and support and maintenance projects

  • Valid certification required: PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or AgilePM Practitioner

  • Experience with ITIL framework and working with ticketing systems such as Atlassian JSM or ServiceNow

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Nexus, and Kanban

  • Strong goal oriented mindset

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven experience in people management and customer relationship management

  • English proficiency at minimum B1 level

  • Readiness for onsite work
