Senior AWS Platform Engineer (Elasticsearch)

Summary:

The role is designed for a seasoned Senior AWS Platform Engineer who will play a crucial part in the global identity and access management team at a leading European pharmaceutical company. The primary goal is to work independently while collaborating closely with existing team members to enhance data management and infrastructure support.

Main Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure and supporting data operations.

• Maintain common infrastructure to collect and store data

• Support schema definition in Elasticsearch.

• Operate Kubernetes cluster

• Maintain and troubleshoot platform components

• Design and implement new functionality

• Performance and reliability tuning

• Support other teams using the solution

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role

• Experience with distributed storage and processing of Big Data

• Experience with Elasticsearch

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience in AWS

• Good understanding of DevOps principles

• Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Kafka

• Experience with Vector

• Knowledge of TypeScript (cdktf for AWS infrastructure automation)

• Knowledge of TypeScript (cdk8s for Kubernetes resources automation)

• Experience with fluxCD for Kubernetes resources deployment

• Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
