SharePoint Configuration/ Deployment Engineer (EU public)

Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing EU agencies. While the responsibility for the management of the external borders remains primarily with the Member States, we support border control at land, air and sea borders by reinforcing, assessing and coordinating actions at the external borders of the EU and fighting cross-border crime.

Frontex deploy specialised border guards, as well as vessels, airplanes and other technical equipment, to those EU countries which face an increased migratory pressure. 

The establishment and operations of the Standing Corps gives raise to various novel legal challenges and risks. The selected candidate will have a chance to significantly contribute to the application of the EU law in this area by developing creative legal solutions in cooperation with internal and external partners. 

Our expectations:

• 8+ years’ IT experience (preferably software development/SharePoint)

• Bachelor’s degree

• Strong SharePoint expertise

• Familiarity with RUP/Agile

• Experience with build & deployment tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines)

• Knowledge of RDBMS, application servers (IIS/Apache/Tomcat), release management

• English B2

• Team-oriented and comfortable in an international environment

Key tasks:

• Build, integrate and deploy applications across backend and client devices

• Configure and manage system environments

• Support system testing

• Monitor daily system performance and troubleshoot issues

• Coordinate technical matters with vendors

• Assist teams in deploying development environments in Azure
