Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to join our DevSecOps Centre of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure services. You will work on a variety of projects, supporting both foundation services and client DGs, ensuring security and efficiency throughout the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline templates and reusable components in GitLab to simplify and automate software delivery.

• Ensure security integration across all stages of the SDLC, including automated security testing and pipeline security.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources.

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and IT teams to ensure smooth operation of environments.

• Design scalable and reliable platform solutions to meet current and future business needs.

• Identify operational challenges and implement automation to reduce manual work and boost efficiency.

• Continuously improve developer tools to increase productivity and reduce overhead.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree (EQF level 7) in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Professional Experience

• Strong background in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab (including APIs).

• Solid hands-on expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or DevSecOps Specialist in Linux-based environments.

• Proficiency with Terraform to build reusable templates and automate multi-environment provisioning.

Tools & Frameworks

• Programming/scripting: Python, Bash, Go.

• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK.

• Secrets management, automated security testing, and code quality tools integrated in CI/CD.

Architecture & Design

• Ability to design scalable, maintainable CI/CD pipelines that support secure deployments.

• Experience with architecture/maturity assessments and establishing best practices.

Other Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and innovation capabilities.

• Service orientation with a focus on improving developer productivity.

• Effective communication in English, able to explain complex DevSecOps topics to both technical and business stakeholders.

Certifications (one of the following required)

• Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP)

• DevSecOps Practitioner

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert

• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

• Or equivalent certification

Other requirements

• Only EU citizenship!

• A 5-day onboarding in Luxembourg is necessary, during which the equipment is handed over, the team is introduced, and procedures are explained.

• The position is remote, but you have to be able to handle occasional short on-site appearances in Luxembourg.

• Ready to start work without unnecessary delay.

• Ability to obtain security clearance.
