Key responsibilities

Analyze and optimize application performance using a major APM tool (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic).
Investigate Java performance issues (JVM tuning, GC, thread and heap dumps).
Identify and resolve database bottlenecks, including slow query analysis.
Work with web and application servers (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, JBoss) in complex architectures.
Cooperate with development and operations teams to prevent and solve performance incidents.
Perform deep, drill-down performance analysis and present findings in a clear and actionable way.

Ideal candidate profile

7+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, APM, or Senior SRE roles.
Expert hands-on experience with a leading APM platform (e.g. Dynatrace, AppDynamics or New Relic).
Strong understanding of Java application performance and debugging.
Proven experience analyzing database performance issues.
Solid knowledge of web (Apache, Nginx) and application server (Tomcat, JBoss) architecture
Strong communication skills and exceptional drill-down analysis and problem-solving skills.
Preferred: Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP) and Kubernetes / Docker.
Preferred: Python or Shell scripting and familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
