Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes focus)

For our partner, an international banking organization in Warsaw, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong Kubernetes expertise to join a technically focused infrastructure team.

Work mode: Remote with occasional office visits in Warsaw

You will be part of a team responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure layer – managing and evolving Kubernetes environments across Google Cloud (main) and Azure (secondary) platforms. The role focuses heavily on Kubernetes infrastructure engineering, automation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and evolve Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure solutions

• Engineer and implement new platform feature to improve performance, scalability, and reliability

• Migrate and deliver cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (Terraform, Ansible)

• Troubleshoot complex issues within the cloud perimeter; perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes

• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to application teams being on-boarded to cloud environments

• Develop internal best practices and low- to mid-level architecture for new cloud services, ensuring compliance with security and operational guidelines

• Drive automation across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and API management areas to enable self-service infrastructure capabilities

• Contribute to on-call support as part of the team’s shared operational responsibilities

Requirements:

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

• Strong, hands-on experience administering Kubernetes in production environments

• Solid background in public cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred; Azure beneficial)

• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and other automation tools

• Proactive, self-driven engineer with strong problem-solving skills and “hands-on keyboard” approach

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Comfortable working in an international, technical team environment

• Fluent English required

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
