Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer Analytics & AI Platforms

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer with a focus on Analytics & AI Platforms to join our Digital Transformation Unit. This role is crucial in operating a global data and analytics cloud platform that supports various Data & Analytics Products, including Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate should have proven experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud development, a strong command of the Data Platform Stack, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a DevOps team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the platform roadmap with cloud architects and identify missing capabilities in the Data & Analytics Stack.

• Independently design and implement new features/services on Azure and Databricks while adhering to security and efficiency requirements.

• Train team members on new features and provide necessary documentation.

• Define Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support platform operations including incident resolution.

• Ensure platform compliance and develop AI-based solutions to optimize operations.

• Collaborate with partners to solve issues and influence platform development.

• Engage with central cloud, infrastructure, and cyber security teams to implement best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Master’s degree in computer science, IT engineering, physics, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud development and Data Platform Stack (ML, Databricks, etc.).

• Proficient in Azure Network Design and Azure Authentication Management.

• Coding skills in PowerShell, Azure Resource Monitor/ARM, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Good understanding of tools and services for developing business insights.

• Knowledge of Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Snowflake technology is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent communication skills.

• Intercultural awareness and willingness to travel; fluent in English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CI/CD practices.

• Understanding of Application Development and Container technologies.
