Manual QA Engineer (Wed–Sun, 16:00–24:00)

Work schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 16:00-24:00


We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with an analytical mindset and, ideally, a technical background. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of backend systems, API integrations, and front-end solutions. While the primary focus will be on manual testing, there is an opportunity to explore and implement test automation where applicable.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform manual testing for web systems, backend services, and API integrations

  • Develop and execute detailed test cases in Gherkin syntax

  • Identify, document, and track bug reports

  • Collaborate closely with developers and project managers

  • Test and validate API endpoints — including request/response validation, chainingrequests, and verifying data flows

  • Perform end-to-end workflow testing across multiple modules, validatingdependencies

  • Conduct data validation through basic SQL/NoSQL queries and log analysis toconfirm data accuracy

  • Test across modules implemented in different technology stacks

  • Use analytics tools to monitor application performance and user behavior

  • Contribute to QA strategy improvements, optimizing testing methodologies andprocesses

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices.


Requirements:


  • English communication skills (preferably Intermediate+)

  • 3+ years of experience testing websites and APIs

  • Strong API testing skills — request/response validation, chaining requests, andexperience with tools like Postman or Swagger

  • Experience testing backend systems, especially Python-based applications

  • Basic SQL/NoSQL querying skills and ability to perform log analysis

  • Experience with end-to-end testing of multi-module dependencies in distributedsystems

  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)

  • Knowledge of website performance testing and optimization techniques

  • Familiarity with security best practices in web applications

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectivelywithin a team

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus

  • Experience using Gherkin is a must

  • Technical background (e.g., prior development, scripting, or system integrationexperience) is highly desirable.
