SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)/QA Engineer

  • Krakow or Warsaw: Hybrid, 3 days p/w in office

  • B2B Contract: 6 months (with possible extensions)

 

We are looking for a SDET/QA Engineer to work with a leading financial services company in Poland. This role will see you working on an award-winning digital platform enabling the rapid delivery of innovative technologies, impacting over 2 million users.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Define and implement testing strategies to ensure full coverage across platforms

  • Develop scalable test automation for API and UI

  • Create test automation with Python, and testing backend services and proxies

  • Plan and execute performance testing, and incorporate performance testing into CI/CD workflows

  • Optimise performance and reliability for hybrid (on-prem/cloud) applications

  • Manage and maintain large-scale test data across projects

  • Enhance monitoring and alerting through automated checks

  • Collaborate with developers, SREs, and security teams to embed quality and observability

  • Mentor team members in automation, AI-driven testing, and performance engineering

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years' experience in test automation

  • Heavily experienced in testing primarily with Python, as well as Java

  • Experienced in Functional Testing – API, UI

  • Experience creating and running API tests in Java

  • Environment: ideally experienced working on platforms in banks/financial services, but open to experience with platforms in other domains

  • Basic knowledge of Shell scripting for CI/CD

  • Basic knowledge of networking: HTTP/s protocols, reverse proxy and load balancers

  • Experienced with frameworks such as: Pytest, JUnit/TestNG, and/or RestAssured
