As a Senior C++/C Developer, you’ll design, develop, and optimize low-latency trading systems for a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating in all liquid asset classes across the world. They're a technology and data driven group implementing a scientific approach to investing. You'll be joining a team that builds trading infrastructure, execution gateways, and simulation environments that power our clients global strategies and deliver high quality return for our investors.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Be:

  • You will be working within a trading desk (in opposition to core roles), which means that your contribution will have a direct and immediate impact on the desk’s success

  • Placing you as a key member of a Quant Dev team working closely with Quant Researchers and Quant Traders.

  • A role with the potential to touch many aspects of algorithmic trading, including ultra-low-latency trading engine (tracking nanoseconds), research platform (Terabytes of data per day), and analytics infrastructure (Massive cloud computing)

  • Opportunities to solve hard technical challenges critical to the desk’s success.

You're Ideal for This Role If You Have:

  • Expert on Windows based application development using C++/C, STL, MFC, Wx Widgets, Win32

  • Key experience designing and implementing multithreaded and distributed systems

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience of front-office trading desk-aligned role is desirable 

  • Advanced knowledge of distributed network architecture 

  • Good knowledge of Equities, Futures or Options asset classes highly desirable 

  • Familiar with low level optimisation techniques on Windows/Linux x86/64 platform

  • Experience with Linux/GCC development toolchain and Linux Red Hat essential 

  • Knowledge of market data feed handlers and execution gateways highly desirable 

  • Experience working within a mature continuous development process highly desirable 

  • Team player essential
