Embedded Software Engineer

FERCHAU Poland is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and support the development of advanced embedded solutions for medical devices. If you want to work on meaningful projects that directly impact patients’ health and well-being, this opportunity is for you.


Responsibilities

  • Develop connectivity solutions for medical devices, including user and backend interfaces

  • Update Embedded Linux distributions considering technical and regulatory requirements

  • Develop high-quality software for healthcare devices in compliance with medical standards

  • Make key technology recommendations and decisions throughout the project lifecycle

  • Communicate effectively with the customer and project team to solve complex technical challenges

  • Ensure best engineering practices are followed and propose improvements when necessary

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of C / C++ and Embedded Linux

  • Practical experience with wireless communication stacks (BLE, WiFi, etc.)

  • Experience with integration and configuration of Linux-based platforms and build environments (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.)

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and awareness of business needs

  • Proactive, reliable, and open team player

  • Good spoken and written English


Nice to have

  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools

  • Knowledge of Python, unit testing, and Continuous Integration environments

  • Proven experience delivering successful products to market across the entire project lifecycle

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, life science, or digital health industry, including ISO 13485 and IEC 62304
